Best Hiking Elopement in Shenandoah National Park
If you’re looking for an elopement photographer just as adventurous as you are that will tag along and help you plan the most beautiful day- you are in the right place! Hiking elopements are my absolute favorite. And Shenandoah is my local National Park. Every year I spend lots of time exploring and documenting in this beautiful place.
Virginia Mountain Elopement
We started off the evening at one of Shenandoah’s jaw-dropping overlooks. Where we explored and took in the perfect light and backdrop. It truly was so magical. September is one of the best times to elope in the park. The weather is comfortable, it is not as busy as October, and the light is so gorgeous.

Hiking Elopement Photos
Don’t forget the details! The small details of your day are important and we will always make time to photograph those, as they weave the full story together. The foggy forest made the perfect backdrop for these detail photos.

Sunset Hiking Elopement at Little Stony Man
A perk about hiring a location expert is taking all the guesswork out of when you should start your hike or how to plan the timeline. I help all my couples craft a timeline to ensure enough time and perfect lighting for your vow exchange or ceremony. We began our hike to the Little Stony Man summit just before sunset.

Sunset Vow Exchange
We made it to the summit just in time for a private and secluded intimate vow exchange and to watch the sky paint the landscape and truly give us the ultimate show. It was the perfect backdrop for their vow exchange and was so special.

Blue Hour Fun
After the perfect sunset ceremony, we laced up our boots and grabbed the lanterns for some cool blue hour photos. Why stop your elopement at dusk? It was so fun and gorgeous to see the sky and light change and really added to the magic of the evening.

Shenandoah Hiking Elopement – The Hike Back Down
Just as the sun dipped below the horizon, we put on our headlamps to head back down to the cars. But the adventure didn’t stop there. After Sam & Jay headed back to their cabin for campfire and smores to end the evening. What a perfect Shenandoah elopement day!
