How to Get Married in a National Park
Getting married in a National Park is fairly simple, and a lot easier than planning a big traditional wedding if you ask me! Even more so that it is an experience and the adventure of a lifetime.
Steps to planning your National Park Elopement
- Choose your park!
- Hire an experienced elopement photographer (most elopement photographers help with planning and logistics and can guide you on the permit process and choosing the best location for your ceremony)
- Decide on who is coming or if you are doing a just you 2 adventure!
- Apply for your permit
- Book lodging, plane tickets (if applicable), finalize all the details, book additional vendors if needed.
- And finally, HAVE THE BEST DAY EVER!

Yosemite National Park
Yosemite National Park has towering granite walls and cliffs, amazing views, and golden fields. The views that Yosemite has, are hard to beat. With a variety of scenery you also have options for photo background on your special day. Located in the remote Eastern Sierras of California, this National Park is popular and one of the best places to get married, and for good reason.

Fall- I always like to recommend fall for your Yosemite elopement. September and October are great months in the park. It is technically a shoulder season, which means less people, and the weather is comfortable.
