How to Plan a Glacier Point Yosemite National Park Elopement

The Best Time of Year to Get Married at Glacier Point

If you are hoping to plan a Glacier Point elopement, the best time of year for this would be June through October. Glacier Point road closes when the weather starts to change and doesn’t reopen until late spring. This particular elopement took place in September and turned out to be quite perfect. The weather was comfortable with it being fall and the best part of eloping at sunrise is beating the crowds! If less people and a more intimate setting is important to you, sunrise and a weekday is a great time for ceremony.

July and August wedding ceremonies are not permitted at Glacier Point due to peak season. This is something to discuss with your elopement photographer and the permit department when considering your date.
