A Fall White Mountains of New Hampshire Adventure Elopement

Kaila and Aaron reached out to me in hopes to get married just them two in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. From our first conversation it was obvious that we were a great fit to work together. Kaila and Aaron both share a lot of hiking, the great outdoors, and travel the U.S. in their RV living the nomadic lifestyle. Kaila shared that she really loved the White Mountains and the area holds a special place in her heart. If you’ve ever been to the White Mountains of New Hampshire – you may understand this. It really is a special place. The White Mountains feel like a warm hug on a fall day. So we got to planning! And that’s what led them to choosing a Cathedral Ledge Elopement in the White Mountains. Read on below to see how their perfect day panned out!

Getting Ready at the Airbnb in Bartlett, NH

The afternoon began at a small and cute cabin Airbnb in Bartlett. The talented and amazing Michaeleen Sicard Esthetics did Kaila’s hair and makeup while Aaron got ready downstairs. They both chose to get ready separately in hopes to share a first look before heading into the park! The afternoon was smooth, slow, and really felt so cozy. Kaila paid such attention to detail when planning and preparing for their elopement day. All the thoughful details she included in their Cathedral Ledge Elopement really made the day unique to them.

It was late September and the fall foliage was truly stunning. The leaves were peaking a little earlier this particular year and it worked in favor for the timing of their elopement! In addition to being your photographer, I am also ordained and can officiate your ceremony and sign your marriage license for you. That is what I did for Kaila and Aaron’s elopement! They wanted to keep things simple and intimate. The shared the sweetest and heartfelt vows privately in the golden light of the afternoon sun.

In addition to being easily accessible, Cathedral Ledge is absolutely stunning for Wedding Photos. The backdrop is amazing and of course we stayed to celebrate and get some epic mountain shots before heading to our next activity. We explored, laughed, and celebrated their new marriage!

As sunset approached, we went down to Echo Lake State Park, which is not too far from Cathedral Ledge. There they took a walk along the bank of the lake and set up a picnic for charcuterie and cake cutting.

Sunset Picnic at Echo Lake

Kaila’s tablescape design for their picnic was so thoughtfully curated and seriously impressive! PSA You can *still* have luxury even though you are outdoors. This sunset picnic was total perfection and was way more unique than any restaurant experience could have offered. It also fit their nature loving and outdoorsy adventure vibes that they were leaning into for their elopement day. The relaxed and ate their snacks as blue hour turned into nightfall and then had a celebratory cake cutting to end the evening!
