What a better way to celebrate your engagement than exploring the city you love? For Brittney and Brian they are both total yinzers and thought that a session in Pittsburgh would be perfect. We started out on a rooftop and made our way to the Pointe to set sail on a boat to end the evening. Keep reading to see some highlights from this downtown Pittsburgh engagement session!
Brittney & Brian: The Love Story
If I had to think of two people who embody the definition of yinzers, it’s Brittney & Brian. These two are two highschool sweethearts who love the city of Pittsburgh. When Brittney reached out and told me her vision for their engagement photos after returning from their trip in Italy where they got engaged, I couldn’t have been more ecstatic. With some of their fondest memories spent on the water in their boat, they thought it would be the perfect place to celebrate and I sure did too!
Iconic City Views for a Pittsburgh Engagement Session
We started off the evening on this rooftop which is nestled right in the heart of downtown. One of the perks of being from Pittsburgh myself is knowing the city pretty well to be able to recommend a variety of locations to couple’s, this being one of them! Access is not difficult and I always recommend an early evening or golden hour for a location like this. In this case, we started early evening. There is nothing quite like have a few photos with the city buildings as your backdrop.
After a few photos on the rooftop we hit the streets and headed down to Pointe State Park where there was a boat waiting for us. Brittney and Brian spend much of their summer on the river and wanted to celebrate their engagement that way too. Right as golden hour hit we hopped on the boat and cruised around to end the evening.
